What Type of church is Nutley Abundant Life Worship Center?

We are a Pentecostal church that believes that the bible is the sole basis for our belief and is uniquely God inspired, without error, and the final authority in all matters of faith and practice. As the Bible teaches, there is only one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit each possessing all the attributes of Deity.
God created humans to have fellowship with Him, but they defied God by sinfully going their own way. As a result, we need God's saving grace to end our alienation from Him. Salvation comes only through Jesus Christ, God's son. Grace, not human effort, must be received personally by repentance and faith for forgiveness of sin.
The Holy Spirit draws sinners to Christ and empowers and equips the church for personal growth, ministry and service. The church's role is to glorify God and serve those in need. At the end of time, everyone who rejects Christ will experience bodily resurrection and judgment. Only believers will enjoy eternal fellowship with God.

Why do we need to come to the house of God?

We believe from the moment you enter the building and are met by our friendly greeters to the compassionate leadership who oversee the various programs of the church, you will feel right at home. With over 40 nationalities represented in the congregation, our passionate pastoral staff will keep you fed from the scriptures.

Do you have a ministry for children and young adults?

Yes, we offer a fun-filled children's church program that will nurture them from newborn to 9 years old. An awesome Youth ministry is provided in various age groups for young adults from 10 to 24 years old.

How do I become a member?

We believe strongly in the nurturing of a person's body, soul, and spirit. The first requirement is the taking of a Sunday school class, "Discipleship Training". It is a 9 month class on foundational principles of biblical truth. 2nd requirement, You must attend the church for one year. We think that attending for that length of time and the taking of the class will allow you to make a heart-felt decision to make this church your home. An application is filled out and you are publicly acknowledged in front of the church as a member.

Is there a dress code?

There is no dress code to attend the services. We highly encourage congregants to dress in a matter that is neat, clean, and of modest apparel. A nice casual to dress- up is acceptable.
