Each classroom of the children’s
department is carpeted and equipped with a television/VCR
to aid in our bible lessons. Our rooms are festively
decorated with wall paintings and lots of room
for lots of fun. Each room has a coat rack but
parents are encouraged to keep their child’s
coat, hat, gloves, and any other clothing item
that can easily be lost or accidentally taken home
by another child. Parents are requested not to
allow children to bring toys or dolls or stuffed
animals of any kind to services as these items
are distracting to the lesson and are easily misplaced.
The department is broken down
into three age groups. First is Wee Waddlers class
where our three and four year old children enjoy
fun and games, arts and crafts, bible lessons,
snack time and much more. With so many buckles
and belt loops our little ones are escorted to
and from the bathrooms and are assisted as needed.
Children who are not yet potty trained will need
parents to be available for diaper change. After
their bible lesson and craft the children spend
the remainder of their fun time with their shoes
off playing on our slides and tunnels. Snacks are
provided for children.
Bible stories, object lesson,
arts & crafts, and fun & games are not
limited to our littlest ones. Our five and six
year old children enjoy themselves in the Lambchop
class and our seven, eight and nine year old love
attending the Petra class. Both of these classes
also enjoy special class trips to the zoo, children’s
museum, park, bowling, cartoon Saturday, sleepovers,
and much more.
